Obituary for Arsenio Zina Braz
Arsenio Zina Braz, 72, passed away from the terrible disease of colon cancer on July 23, 2016 surrounded by his loving family at Mercy Medical Center. He was born in Sobral da Lagoa, Obidos, Portugal on October 7, 1943 to the late beloved parents Arsenio and Custodia Zina Braz. He attended schools in Portugal and immigrated to the United States in 1961. He worked for different construction companies in western mass and also lived in Florida for many years before returning to Ludlow. He belonged to Our Lady of Fatima Church and was also a member of the Gremio Lusitano Club. He enjoyed walking daily with his dog “Teddy”. Arsenio is survived by his loving brother Jose Bras of Brooksville, FL, sister Ivone Fatal and brothers Antonio Zina Braz and Orlando Zina Braz all of Ludlow. He also leaves nephews Joe Jr., and David Bras, Gilbert Fatal, Ellie Blanchard, Lisa Devine and Tony Braz and Jeffrey and Hayley Jorge and many other family members and friends. Funeral services for Arsenio will be held on Wednesday July 27, 2016 from Ludlow Funeral Home. Visiting hours are Wednesday morning from 8:30-10:00am with a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 11:00am in Our Lady of Fatima Church followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriners Hospital, 516 Carew St. in Springfield, Ma. 01104.
