Obituary for Edward J. D'Amato
Edward D’Amato passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2016. Born in Hartford, CT on July 16, 1973. He was raised in Wilbraham, MA and was a graduate of Minnechaug Regional High School. He stayed close to home to always be a support to his family and help his sister with his nieces. Ed was loved by all who knew him as he was a selfless & humble person. He was a devout fan of the Boston Red Sox and was a Marvel comic’s collector. He enjoyed cooking and was a talented artist.
Ed was predeceased by his grandfather, the late Edward Tuttle and his step brother Adam Benoit. He leaves behind his devoted and loving mother Karen (Tuttle) Benoit and her husband Frederick Benoit of Wilbraham, MA, his father John D’Amato and his wife Mary D’Amato of Easthampton, MA, his grandmother Pauline Tuttle, his sister Rebecca D’Amato of Wilbraham, MA, his brother Tom Gormally of Fort Lauderdale, FL, his step-brother Joseph Benoit of Hulbert Field Air Force Base in Fl., and his beloved nieces Kloud D’Amato and Kyla O’Keefe, whom he adored. He also leaves behind many Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. Funeral services for Ed are on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 9:00am from Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Elizabeth Parish followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. Visiting hours are on Monday from 4:00-7:00pm and In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Homeless Cat Project, 1124 East Mountain Rd, Westfield, MA 01085.
