Obituary for Eduardo M. Quiterio
Eduardo M. Quiterio, 85, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2020. Born in Benedita Portugal, he was the son of the late Eduardo and Felicidade Mendes Quiterio. He immigrated to Indian Orchard in 1966 before settling in Ludlow where he was a devoted communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church and member of the Gremio Lusitano Club. Eduardo was a longtime employee of Smith and Wesson and later of Milton Bradley, from where he retired, and in his spare time, he enjoyed working in his yard tending to his flower and vegetable gardens, birdwatching, watching soccer, having family gatherings, and especially spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom he adored. Eduardo was the beloved husband of 62 years to Maria Trindade Quiterio; a devoted father to Natalie Quiterio and husband Randy, Louie Quiterio and Nadia, Tony Quiterio and wife Anna, Paul Quiterio and wife Lina, Linda Sticca and husband Paul, and Eddie Quiterio and wife Kris, all of Ludlow; a loving grandfather to Allison and Jeremy, Tony, Dave, and Luis, Melissa, Ashley, and Jordan, Kacie and Tyler, and Olivia and Madellin, and their spouses; a cherished great-grandfather of 13; a dear brother to Raimundo Quiterio and wife Lurdes, Zita Agostinho and husband Jose, Antonio Quiterio and wife Trindade, Arnaldo Quiterio and wife Maryanne, the late Lucia Lopes and late husband Francisco, and the late Eduarda Mateus and widower Antonio Mateus; and also leaves many loving extended family members and dear friends both here and in Portugal. A walk through visitation for Eduardo will be held on Wednesday, August 19th from 8:45-10:00am in Ludlow Funeral Home adhering to social distancing and no contact guidelines. Funeral services will be held privately by his family.
