Obituary for Dorothy "Dot" (O'Neil) Murphy
Dorothy A. “Dot” (O’Neil) Murphy, 88, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Boston, she lived most of her life in Ludlow where she was a devoted homemaker to her family. Dorothy was also a faithful communicant of the former St. Mary of the Assumption Parish in Ludlow and currently of St. Cecilia Parish in Wilbraham. Dorothy was the beloved wife of the late Stephen Murphy, who predeceased her in 2004; a loving mother to Susan Bissaillon and husband Rick, of Port St. Lucie, FL, Patricia Paul and husband Richard, of Chicopee, and Charon Mullins and husband Timothy, of Ludlow; a devoted grandmother to Tamara Struthers and husband Alan, Ian Bissaillon and wife Lisa, Jacob Bissaillon and wife Cheryl, Paige Mullins, and Nicholas Mullins; and adoring great-grandmother to Samantha, Makayla, Cheyane, Nathan, Jonathan, Ethan, Mei, and Woodelson; and also leaves many loving extended family members and dear friends. Visiting hours for Dorothy will be held on Wednesday morning, August 23rd from 10:00am-11:30am at Ludlow Funeral Home followed by Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Cecilia Parish at 12:30pm with burial in Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Agawam at 2:00pm
