Obituary for Michael S. Bourgeois, II
Michael S. Bourgeois II, 36, of Gadsden, AL passed away suddenly on November 1, 2022, in a tragic motorcycle accident. Michael was born March 29th, 1986, in Springfield, MA. He grew up and graduated high school in South Hadley, MA. Following high school, Michael joined the Massachusetts Army National Guard, attended Porter & Chester Institute, and NETTTS for his CDL-A.
Michael drove truck for over a decade, and was a true old-school trucker through and through. He was an avid motorcyclist who enjoyed riding with his brothers, hunting, fishing, exploring old military forts, museums, and battleships, and working on his motorcycles and project cars.
Michael's family and friends will remember him as an easygoing, charismatic, witty, protective, and selfless man who was the first to help anyone in need. He was a man of his word. He valued family, honesty, and took great pride in working hard for the things he had. Michael overcame many battles in his life; he was a true fighter with unbelievable strength; someone many looked up to. He was, without a doubt, truly one of a kind.
Michael is survived by his beloved wife and soulmate Haley (McGinnis) Bourgeois, his father Michael and stepmother Pam, three brothers, Kenneth and his fiancée Kristen, Tyler and his wife Karizma, and brother Willy. He also leaves behind two uncles, Marc and his wife Pamela, and uncle Matthew, along with sons Shane and Michael, grandmother Joan, stepsister Heather, nephews Damion and Jasper, along with many other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 13th, at the Ludlow Funeral Home from 4:00-6:00pm for family and friends. Funeral services and burial will be held Monday, November 14th. Family and friends may gather directly at St.. Rose de Lima Catholic Church in Chicopee at 11:00am for a funeral liturgy, followed by burial in St. Rose Cemetery.
Donations to aid in the cost of services and transportation from AL to MA can be sent to the Ludlow Funeral Home. Any checks can be made out to Haley Bourgeois.
