Obituary for Sylvia K. (Wren) Bouyea
Sylvia K. (Wren) Bouyea, 79, of Ludlow, entered into eternal rest, unexpectedly on Sunday, March 25, 2018. Born in London, England, she resided in London until marrying her late husband Robert, who was in the U.S. Air Force stationed in England from 1953-1957. From England, they travelled back to MA by ship and settled in Ludlow where they raised their four daughters. Sylvia worked at MassMutual Life INs. Co. from where she retired in 1996. Upon retirement, she and her husband enjoyed spending their winters at their home in Largo, Fl. She was also an avid gardener and loved being out in her yard tending to her fish pond and flowers, however, her greatest joy in life was spending time with her wonderful, close knit family. Sylvia was the beloved wife of 57 years to the late Robert Bouyea; a devoted mother to Gail Dorval and friend Jerry Mitchell, Carole Daigneault and friend Daniel Bator, Robin Hurley and husband Michael, and Allison Layman and husband Scott; a dear sister to Anthony Wren of England; a cherished grandmother of Jacob Dorval and wife Justine, Jocelyn Miller and husband Jim, Michael Dorval and wife Nadia, Amy Daigneault, Neil Daigneault and fiance Samantha, Ryan Hurley and wife Stacey, Rachael Hurley, Sean Hurley, Samantha Layman, and Brett Layman; great-grandmother of 18; and great-great grandmother of 1; and also leaves many nieces nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. Visiting hours for Sylvia, will be held on Thursday, March 29th from 4:00-6:30pm in Ludlow Funeral Home concluding with a funeral home Celebration of Life service at 6:45pm.
