Obituary for Hilda (Cruz) Carneiro
Hilda (Cruz) Carneiro, 93, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2019. Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Alice Cruz, she was a longtime Ludlow resident where she was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church and former member of the Gremio Lusitano Women's Auxiliary. She worked for over 30 years at Buxton Co.before her retirement and in her spare time, enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. Hilda was the beloved wife of 68 years to Americo “Mack” Carneiro; the loving mother of Dean Carneiro and wife Kerry, of Ludlow, and Carey Carneiro, of NY; the dear sister of the late Joseph and Fernando Cruz; and also leaves many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends. Visiting hours for Hilda are on Tuesday, May 14th from 4:00-7:00pm in Ludlow Funeral Home Funeral services are on Wednesday May 15th. Visitation will begin at 10:15am concluding with a funeral service at 11:00am in the funeral home followed by burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Hilda’s memory to Visiting Angels (visitingangels.com), WMASS Eldercare (wmeldercare.org), or Griswold Home Care (griswoldhomecare.com).
