Obituary for Donald P. Yelle, Jr.
Donald P. Yelle, Jr. 66, of West Warren, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025 surrounded by his loved ones. Donald was the beloved son of Gail (Rice) Yelle and her late husband Donald P. Yelle, Sr. and grew up in Ludlow where he was a graduate of Ludlow High School and communicant of the former St. Mary of Assumption Church. Donald was a proud United States Coast Guard Veteran and upon his honorable discharge, he received his Associate Degree from STCC and entered the workforce working for Monsanto/Solutia/Eastman from where he recently retired. In his free time, he enjoyed tractor pulling, fishing, camping, lighthouses, and spending time with family and friends.
Besides his mother, Donald leaves his 2 loving daughters, Heather Yelle and fiance Evan Towle of Dover NH, and Melissa Yelle and husband Shane Teriele of Alcove NY; his sister Bonny Monkiewicz and husband Steve of Montgomery, his niece and nephew Colin and Chelsie and their families; as well as many loving extended family members and dear friends.
Funeral services for Donald will be held on Wednesday, January 7th. Visiting hours are from 11:15a-12:15p at Ludlow Funeral Home concluding with a funeral home chapel service and followed by procession to Massachusetts Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Agawam for a 2pm committal service with military honors.
