Obituary for Lucy "Lucy Belle" (Taylor) Machado
Lucy “Lucy Belle” (Taylor) Machado, 93, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2019. Born in Charlotte County, VA, she came to Ludlow in 1953 where she was a member of the First Congregational Church of Ludlow. Lucy was the beloved wife of 66 years to Mario “Mike” Machado; the loving mother to John Machado, of Ludlow, the late Rick Machado, who predeceased her in 2015, and Ron Almeida, of Ludlow, who was like a son to her; a cherished grandmother to Ricky Machado, Julie Gray, Ryan Machado, and Kristen Henrich; great-grandmother to Olivia Lyons, Charlotte Gray, and Ava Machado; and also leaves many loving extended family members and dear friends. Visiting hours for Lucy will be held on Wednesday, July 10th from 11:00a-12:30p in Ludlow Funeral Home concluding with a funeral home chapel service at 12:30pm with burial to follow in Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lucy’s memory to Shriners Hospital for Children 516 Carew St. Springfield, Ma 01104.
