Obituary for Loretta C. (Langevin) Chouinard
Loretta C. (Langevin) Chouinard, 85, of Chicopee, passed into the loving arms of our Lord on August 24, 2019 with family by her side. Born in Springfield, Ma., daughter of the late Frank A. Langevin and the late Lauretta (Poirier) Langevin, who predeceased her in 1988, she attended Springfield schools and was a resident of Chicopee for most of her life. Loretta was a well known and beloved waitress at Al’s Diner in Chicopee for many years, and in her spare time, she enjoyed playing cards, bingo, and the Mass state lottery; but her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and friends, especially at the beach. Loretta was the wife of the late Rodger R. Chouinard, who predeceased her in 1984; a loving mother to Ronald R. Chouinard, who predeceased her in 2015, and his wife Carol, Diane Adamczyk and husband Stephen, all of Chicopee, and Denise (Chagnon) Margoli and her husband Bear, of Hampden; a dear sister to Daniel Langevin and wife Mary, of Springfield, and the late Frank Langevin, Raymond Langevin, and Theresa Rollins; a cherished grandmother to Jennifer M. Kowal, the late Michael J Kowal, predeceased in 2007, the late Brian M. Kowal, predeceased in 2019, Ronald R. Chouinard, Tracy M. Chouinard, Christopher Chagnon, and Alfred Chagnon and wife Brittany. Loretta was also an adoriing great-grandmother to Nathan Chouinard, Amanda Santerre, and Kaylin, Ariane, Christopher, Carson, Julia, Zoe, and Mariah Chagnon; and also leaves many loving extended family members and dear friends. A memorial service may be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Donations may be made to the Loretta Chouinard Memorial Fund at Go Fund Me in the care of Diane M. Adamczyk.
