Obituary for Arlindo S. Lage
Arlindo S. Lage, 84, of Indian Orchard, died peacefully on August 1, 2014 surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Vila Pouca, Portugal, son of the late Joaquim and Lucinda (Silva) Lage, he came to Indian Orchard in 1974 where he was a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church. He also worked for many years at HBA Cast Products in Springfield before his retirement and especially loved spending time with his family.
Arlindo was the beloved husband of 61 years to Maria Nazare (Costa) Lage; a loving father to Maria Nunes and husband Jose, Rodrigo “Luis” Lage, Margarida “Guida” Rego and husband Liberio “Lee”, all of Indian Orchard, and Carlos Lage and wife Brenda, of North Carolina; a devoted grandfather to Sandra Houle, Carla and Kayla Lage, Erika Rego, and the late Sgt. Helder Nunes; an adoring great-grandfather to Kailey, Logan, Emmalyn, and Colby; a dear brother to Luis Lage, of Framingham, and the late Silvia Borges; and also leaves many loving extended family members and dear friends.
Visiting hours are on Monday from 6:00-8:00pm.
Funeral Services will be on Tuesday, August 5th at 9:00am from Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00am in Our Lady of Fatima Church followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery.
