Obituary for Domingos G. Goncalves
Domingos G. Goncalves, 51, of Ludlow, died peacefully on January 16, 2014 with his loving family by his side. Born in Portugal, to Jaime G. Santos and the late Isaura (Gomes) Santos, he came to Ludlow in 1974 where he was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church. Domingos worked for many years as a foreman for the Springfield DPW. He was also a proud member of the Gremio Lusitano Club, the Galaxy Club at Westover Air Force Base, and enjoyed building and flying RC planes; but his greatest joy in life was spending time with his family. Domingos was the beloved husband of 31 years to Olivia Goncalves; a loving father to Leslie Hill and husband Michael, and Tiffany Gagnon and husband Steven, all of Ludlow; an adoring grandpa to Danika Paige Gagnon and Benjamin Domingos Hill; a dear brother to Albertina Lage and husband Antonio; and also leaves his nephew Denis Lage of Ludlow, niece Elsa Lage of Chicopee, and many loving extended family members and dear friends. A Celebration of Life with Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 from 4:00-7:00pm at Ludlow Funeral Home.  Friends and family are also asked to gather for a graveside service to be held on Thursday, Jan 23rd in Island Pond Cemetery at a time to be announced.
