Obituary for Albert J.'Buzz' Charron Jr.
Albert J. "Buzz" Charron, Jr., 77, of Ludlow, died peacefully on March 18, 2013 with his loving family by his side. Born in Indian Orchard, he was a graduate of Springfield Trade School and a United States Army Veteran proudly serving his country during the Korean Conflict. He also excelled in many sports throughout his childhood and high school, including football, basketball and baseball, was the recipient of many athletic awards and honors, and in fall of 2012, he was inducted into the Springfield Public High School Athletic Hall of Fame. Albert had a lifelong career as a self employed electrician and was a longtime Ludlow resident where he was a communicant of Christ the King Church. He also enjoyed fishing and clamming in R.I. with his family, decorating Christmas cookies with his grandchildren, was an avid Red Sox fan, and member of the Veterans Association. Albert was the beloved husband of 55 years to Amelia (Burek) Charron; a loving father to Michael and wife Susan, of R.I., Mark, of Ludlow, and Cynthia Gurry, and husband Robert, of ME; a cherished grandfather to Nathan Charron, Evan and Emily Gurry, and Kaylena Sibley; a dear brother to Janette Plata, of PA, Robert Charron, of Indian Orchard, and Phyllis Gagne and husband Armand, of VA; and also leaves many loving extended family members and dear friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 22, 2013 at 11:00am from Ludlow Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 12:00pm in Christ the King Church followed by burial with Military Honors at Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Agawam. Visiting Hours are on Thursday from 4:00-7:00pm
