Obituary for William "Billy" F. Condon
William "Billy" F. Condon, 77, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Ludlow, son of the late William H. and Catherine (Lusty) Condon, he was a lifelong resident, graduate of Ludlow High School and communicant of the former St. Mary of the Assumption Church. He was a co-owner for 30 years, along with his father, of the former Screw Machine Co., Ludlow and later retired from the Springfield Water Dept. He also was a lifelong member of the Ludlow Fish and Game Club, loved Archery, fishing, and traveling to Vermont. William was the beloved husband of the late Mabel "Nora" (Machado) Condon, who pre-deceased him in 2003; a loving father to Kim Allen, of Ludlow, and Laurie Mues, of Belchertown; grandfather of Megan Shelton and husband Michael, of Cincinnati, and Nicole and Miranda Mues, of Belchertown, great-grandfather of Michael Shelton; brother of Robert "Bob" Condon, of Alaska;Â and also leaves many loving extended family members and dear friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Feb. 10, 2012. Chapel services will be held at Ludlow Funeral Home 11:00 am followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. Visiting Hours are on Thursday from 6-8 pm.
