Obituary for Mary (Jorge) Evangelista
Mary (Jorge) Evangelista, 86, of Ludlow was called home to be with God on Tuesday, October 25, 2011. Born in Ludlow to the late Jose and Luciana (Morgado) Jorge, she was a lifelong resident. She worked for many years and retired from the former Diamond Match Company of Springfield and was the widow of Francisco Evangelista, who died in 1966. Mary leaves her beloved son Frank Jr.(Frank’s Diner) of Ludlow; 3 cherished grandchildren, April, Frank and Darren; 8 great-grandchildren and a sister Gracinda Evangelista of Ludlow. Sadly she was predeceased by her brothers Fermino, Joseph, John and Virgilio. Funeral services for Mary will be held on Saturday October 29, 2011 at 8:00am from Ludlow Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated in Our lady of Fatima Church at 9:00 followed by burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Visiting hours are Friday evening from 4:00-7:00pm. .
