Obituary for Irene (Jorge) Fidalgo
Irene (Jorge) Fidalgo, 83, of Ludlow passed away peacefully on Monday July 12, 2010. Born in Ludlow to the late Domingos and Elvira (Pereira) Jorge, she was a lifelong resident and 1945 Graduate of Ludlow High School. Irene was a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Parish, a longtime member of Ludlow Country Club and worked for many years at Friendly's Ice Cream Corporation. She leaves her loving and devoted family; sons David Fidalgo his wife Sandra and their sons Nathan and Garrett of East Longmeadow and Thomas Fidalgo his wife Doreen and their Daughter Alicia of Ludlow; caring brother Arlindo Jorge his wife Barbara of Long Island, NY; cherished nieces and nephews, Judith and Arlin of Long Island, NY., Arthur Fidalgo and wife Rita of South Hadley, Nancy Cameron and husband Don of Ludlow, Carol and Diane Fidalgo of Florida and Michael, John, Todd and Daryl Fidalgo of Wilbraham.  A Chapel Service for Irene will be held Thursday July 15, 2010 at 10:00am at the Ludlow Funeral Home with Burial to follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Visiting hours are Wednesday evening from 5:00pm-8:00pm and in lieu of flowers donation may be made in Irene's name to the Jewish Geriatric Services 770 Converse St. Longmeadow, MA. 01106.
