Obituary for Herminio G. Pereira
Herminio G. Pereira, 80, of Ludlow, died peacefully Sunday, August 30, 2009. Born in Codecoso, Boticas, Portugal, he immigrated to Ludlow in 1960. Herminio worked for many years at Jahn Foundry and then retired from the Ludlow Mills in 1993. He was a past member of the Gremio Lusitano Club. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Gloria (Ferreira) Pereira; his son Jose Pereira and his wife Eileen Walsh of West Roxbury, his daughters Otilia Pereira of Ludlow and Julie Goldman and her husband Jerry of W. Newton; his cherished grandchildren, Emily Pereira, Daniel Pereira, Rebecca Goldman and Zachary Goldman; along with nieces and nephews in Brazil and Portugal. Funeral services will be Tuesday morning at 9:15 from the Ludlow Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Fatima Church at 10am. Burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Visiting hours are Tuesday morning preceding the funeral from 8:15- 9:15.
