Obituary for Maria (Balbina) Ribeiro
Maria (Balbina) Ribeiro, 80, of Ludlow was called safely home to be with God on Thursday May 29th, 2008. Born in Alcobaca, Portugal she has lived in Ludlow for the past 25 years and was a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church. She leaves her loving sons; Jose Maria Ribeiro of Chicopee, Luis Ribeiro of Brazil, Tito Ribeiro of Ludlow and Armando Ribeiro of Ludlow; cherished grandchildren; Dina Ribeiro, George Ribeiro, Marcel Nunes, Anita Dragon, Tony Ribeiro, Kevin Nunes, Keith Nunes, Lillian Vanderwoude, David Ribeiro and Elizabeth Ribeiro, as well as her 10 great-grandchildren. Maria was predeceased by her beloved husband Manuel Ribeiro, who passed away in 1985 and her daughter Isabel Nunes in 2002. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 31st, 2008 at 8:00am from the Ludlow Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:00am in Our Lady of Fatima Church, followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. Visiting hours are Friday evening from 5-8pm.
