Obituary for John M. Carnevale
John M. Carnevale, 81, formerly of Ludlow, was called safely home to heaven on January 3, 2006, in Norton, Ma. Born in Ludlow, the son of the late Louis and Cloutilda (Bianchi) Carnevale, he was a lifelong resident and an Army veteran serving his country honorably during WWII. He was active in the Ludlow Senior Center and was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church. He worked for many years at Food Mart before his retirement and also took part in the Meals on Wheels program through Western Mass Eldercare. John was the beloved husband of the late Ednamarie “Kelly” (Kellas) Carnevale, who predeceased him in 2003; a loving father to Michael Carnevale and his wife Linda of North Carolina, Mark Carnevale of Derry, N.H., and David Carnevale and his wife Barbara of Easton, Ma.; a dear brother to Eva Carnevale of Chicopee; a cherished grandfather to Angela, Jason, Kristen and Steven and great grandfather of Jada, Amanda and Samantha. Funeral services are on Saturday morning at 11:15am from the Ludlow Funeral Home with Liturgy of Christian Burial at 12:00pm in St. Mary of the Assumption Church followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. Visitation will precede the funeral on Saturday from 9:15-11:15am and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John’s memory to Epoch Sunshine Fund 190 Mansfield Ave, Norton, Ma. 02766.
