Obituary for Nancy (Gonsalves) Silva
Nancy (Gonsalves) Silva, 92, of Ludlow passed away peacefully on Thursday June 2nd, 2016. Born in Ludlow to the late Adelino and Rosalina (Fidalgo) Gonsalves, she was a lifelong Ludlow resident and a former communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church. Nancy worked for both Smith and Wesson and Bookpress and was a seamstress for many years ,she enjoyed dancing and travelling she also volunteered at the Hampden County Jail in the visiting room. Nancy was the beloved wife of the late Albert “Quaggy” Silva who predeceased her in 1992. She leaves her loving children Alan Silva of Ludlow and Rosemary Silva of Newburyport; she leaves several cherished nieces and nephews and was also predeceased by her 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Funeral services for Nancy will be held on Wednesday June 8, 2016 from Ludlow Funeral Home with a chapel service beginning at 10:00am followed by burial in Island Pond Cemetery. Visiting hours are Tuesday evening from 5:00-7:00pm and Wednesday morning from 9:00am-10:00am.
