Obituary for Arline (Gibbings) Sousa
Arline M. (Gibbings) Sousa, 72, of Ludlow, passed away unexpectedly on June 9, 2016. Born in Springfield, daughter of the late Leslie and Marie (Cote) Gibbings, she was raised in Springfield where she was a graduate of Commerce High School. Arline was a longtime Ludlow resident where she raised her family and worked for many years at Peter Pan Bus Co. and also providing personal care for the elderly. Arline was the loving mother to David Sousa, of Springfield, Leslie Sousa, of Palmer, and Debbie Jackson, of Canada; an adoring grandmother to Haley, David Jr., Matthew, and Sara Sousa, Stephen Jr., Michael, and Jonathan Perla, and Kirsten, Courtney, and Nolan Jackson; a dear sister to Fred, Bob, and George Gibbings, Lorraine Hansen, and 4 deceased siblings; and also leaves many loving extended family members and dear friends. Visiting hours for Arline will be held on Wednesday, June 15th from 6:00-7:00pm in Ludlow Funeral Home concluding with a Celebration of Life Service at 7:00pm.
